'Extra Mile' Excellence and Innovation Awards
These awards are an opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of teams and individuals across the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. We want to celebrate those who have gone out of their way to provide or support the delivery of the highest standards of care for our patients.
2012 Chairman and Chief Executive's award winners the Mermaid Centre Team, recognising their outstanding contribution to patient care.
There are four categories in which teams and individuals are nominated:

EXCELLENCE - for demonstrating exceptional standards of care, compassion and respect.

INNOVATION - for new techniques and ways of working, leading to safer, better and good value care.

'EXTRA MILE' - for an individual or team going way beyond the call of duty.

COMMUNITY AWARD - for the public to nominate a member of staff or a team who has provided exceptional care.
Nominations in this category will be shortlisted and patients and the public will be invited to vote on their favourite, with the overall winner to be announced at our Awards Ceremony on 1 November 2012.
