About Tri Arts
Following staff interest at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, the Charitable Funds Sub Committee agreed to support an arts programme in 2002.
Tri Arts was established and has provided patient and staff participatory visual arts projects and commissions.
It has also raised funding for a creative play area, musical performances throughout the hospital sites, consultation through the arts and hosts a busy exhibition programme.
The aims of Tri-Arts are to:
Enhance the healthcare environment
Build relationships with the local community through collaborative projects
Develop and improve relationships for patients, staff and visitors across the Trust
Through the arts provide activities or visual stimuli to relieve anxiety and reduce stress
Encourage the development of external green spaces for visitors and staff
Promote and encourage staff and public interaction with the arts
Introduce a variety of art forms and styles into the healthcare environment
Celebrate and promote Cornwall and Cornish Artists
