The library and information service exists to support the provision of high quality health care, by providing access to the knowledge base of health care, and by facilitating its effective use.
A wide range of resources are available to library users in physical and electronic form.
Enquiry services
Qualified library staff are available at Truro and Bodmin to help locate a resource or the material you need.
Literature searches
Library staff will undertake clinical literature searches on your behalf. You may be present during these searches to help refine the results, or they may be done in your absence and the results emailed or sent to you. We can also offer support for course work and research.
Inter-library loans
Items not in stock can be borrowed from other libraries. Please fill in a request form with as much detail as possible and hand it to library staff, or use the electronic request form on the library Intranet page. If an item is required urgently for patient care please draw this to our attention.
Training
Training sessions in literature searching skills are available for individuals or groups. We can advise about types and times of sessions.
Computers
Library computers provide access to the internet and a full range of Windows software.
Photocopying and printing
There are photocopying machines and printers available for general use in the library at Truro and Bodmin.
Study Spaces
There are small study rooms available in the library at the Knowledge Spa.
Out of hours access
There is out of hours access at the Staff Library, Westheath House and at the Health Library, Knowledge Spa.
