New doctors vote RCHT best for clinical placement...

Among the newly qualified doctors joining RCHT are 11 graduates from the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (PCMD) whose students have voted RCHT as the best locality for learning.

"This was great news to hear," says Dr Julie Thacker, Clinical Skills Co-ordinator for PCMD in Truro.  "We have worked hard and have always tried to make RCHT student centred.  It's very much an open door policy.  Students are always welcome to come to us for any advice or guidance they need."

Our new intake of 50 Foundation Year 1 doctors, who come from PCMD and other medical schools across the UK,  has already been with us for a week, taking advantage of time to shadow those they are taking over from today and to undergo a detailed induction programme.  This makes for a smoother transition as the new rotation of Foundation Year 2 and specialty doctors also join us.

Pictured on SRU are F1 Doctors, Dan Birley, Emily May, Matilda Donovan, Greg Lee and Benjamin Hall.
