Listening into Action...

Today you will have received a  personal email from  Lezli Boswell about our participation in a new staff engagement programme.

Listening into Action is about achieving a fundamental shift in the way we work, putting staff at the centre of change for the benefit of our patients and the Trust as a whole. It has been successful in other organisations because it is structured and provides an opportunity to learn from the very best in staff engagement. The principle is simple though: leaders at RCHT promise to act on what patients and staff say to make improvements.

For the first step we need everyone to complete this 60 second survey before midnight on Friday 15th June.  (Click here|)

Thursday Pulse

June Team Brief

This week's snapshot from our quality and performance targets...

89 percent of patients with fractured neck of femur had their operation within the best practice guideline of 36 hours in May.

This is the best performance we have yet achieved and one which has very clear benefits to patient care.  Many thanks for all the effort that has made this possible.

A round up of key issues for the month...

Please find below a link to the June Team Brief for discussion at team meetings at the earliest opportunity. If you have any queries about the Team Brief or would like to see any information included next month, please contact Garth Davies, Associate Director, Communications: Garth.Davies@rcht.cornwall.nhs.uk|

Stop by our stand and you will have the opportunity to watch a powerful new DVD featuring some of the vulnerable adults in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who have experienced abuse.

The DVD is three minutes long and those who take the time to view it will be entered into a prize draw to win a photo shoot and canvas worth £240 kindly donated by the Truro based Light Box Photographic Company.
